This beautiful theatre located on the north side of Parque José Martí is a wonderful example of Creole architecture. It was erected in 1869 in honour of Tomás Terry, a Venezuelan industrialist.

Tomas Terry Theater is a Victorian theater located right in the heart of Cienfuegos (between Calle 27 and Calle 29), in the main square, and is the top place in town to catch a show. The theater stands on the north side of the Parque Jose Marti and is beautiful and grand, both on the outside and inside, with multi-coloured murals atop it. Hailing from the late 1800s, the Teatro Tomas Terry features 950 seats and puts on all sorts of performances throughout the year.

The Teatro Tomas Terry is a lovely theater, built in 1889. Admission is 10 pesos (or ½ CUC) but people who can’t afford it can sit in the top tiers for free

“It's worth the 2 CUC to get a peak inside. ”
It's worth the 2 CUC to peek inside the theatre. The ceiling is beautiful, and the seating is so different compared to Europe. The service in the cafe was really bad,

“History on stage. ”
The exterior has been very well renovated. The inside could use some work, but you can almost hear the ghosts of the famous people who appeared on stage.

Very interesting old theatre well worth a visit for 2Cuc's. it would have been nice to see a show there

“Thomas Terry Theatre?. Ooooh I Say! ”
Built in 1889, the TTT is a beautiful old theatre. My one regret that I could not see a performance of the ballet or Shakespeare?. The fresco ceilings are superb and the architecture stunning. TT would have loved it.

“Impressive, historic theatre ”
Would have loved to have seen a performance on this huge stage. All the seats have great views. Interesting architecture.

“More than just a bar ”
This is a beautiful old theatre , rarely seen in the modern world. A prime position by the plaza, it is a reminder of days gone by but fortunately, it is still a living theatre - performances are still held here regularly.

“Another nice theatre bar ”
The bar here has a shady courtyard overlooking the square, and a well stocked gift shop attached. Nice for a mid afternoon thirst quencher.

“Piece of art ”
A doll theatre of past times financed as always by a wealthy family of Cienfuegos. I think it was the most elegant building in the city. I liked the facade with the three murals on the top. As you enter, a hall ,with the donor statue, leads to the main theatre room which is very well preserved keeping the atmosphere... More 

“Fantastic ”
It was just amazing! I love the historic grandness of it and how well preserved it was. I wish I had been able to attend a show and not just tour it.

“Worth a look ”
A nice theatre if you like architecture and period pieces. A Guide could have been a bit more helpful but I don't think they had anyone speaking English.
